In 2005, SIM2 Multimedia, based in Italy, celebrated its first 10 years of operation.

SIM2 Domino 80
The acclaimed Domino 80E projector from Italian projection specialist SIM2 has been awarded the 'Best projector over $8000' award at the Sound & Image awards held in Sydney October 31st 2008. The judges said: "A clever out-put modulated lamp is key to this projectors remarkable performance with excellent black levels, realistic colours and long lamp life.
The SIM2 Domino 80E features innovative new lamp technology called UNISHAPE (UNIversal SHAPEd Lamp Technology). It is a technology that has been developed in conjunction with Texas Instruments and features the latest TI DLP chipsets. What makes UNISHAPE unique is it is a modulating lamp, shaping the light out-put on millisecond time scales in synch with DMD chip and colour wheel. The results are dramatic. It delivers:
More colours (1-2 additional bits per colour possible.)
More brightness (up to 40% brightness increase.)
Higher contrast (up 40% improvement through deeper blacks and broghter whites.)
More colours in dark scenes (up to 43% improvement.)
Less artefacts - dithering and rainbow effect is diminished with new 6 segment colour wheels (RGB + Magenta, Yellow Cyan.)
The Domino 80E, as with all 1080p SIM2 projectors, uses high quality Fujinon BK7 glass lenses. BK7 is a borosilicate crown optical glass with high homogeneity and very low inclusion content. All lenses are also anti-reflection coated with multi-layer coating to avoid light scatter outside the light path which can degrade black levels. The result is that high definition images are delivered to the screen with perfect clarity, free of the distortions that can cause a loss of resolution and detail.
Other key specifications include HDMI input, component and VGA inputs, RS232 control capability and 2 x 12v trigger outputs for screen control. There are 3 custom user aspect ratios, which allow, amongst other things, the ability to use a 2.35:1 anamorphic lens adaptor without the need for an external processor to change the aspect ratio.

The Grand Cinema C3X 1080 achieves this extraordinary picture quality through the partnership of the latest 0,95" 1080p DarkChip4 DLP chipset from Texas Instruments and the precision optics of SIM2's ALPHAPATH light engine. No other technology can match the superb colour depth, excellent contrast ratio (>10,000:1 typical) and exceptional brightness that Grand Cinema C3X 1080 delivers.

SIM2 HT-380
The SIM2 HT-380 offers high end 1080p performance - a videophile's projector with a number of important features to enable top quality performance.
A key feature is Live Colour Calibration (LCC) a new profesional calibration system that allows video callibration to absolute reference levels. The professional calibrator can use the LCC software in conjunction with his or her colur analyser t attain reference levels for colour temperature, greyscale, primary colour points and even secondary colour points. The home cinema can now deliver accurate colour perfromance on a par with the best studio production facilities.
The HT-380 employs a new technology from Texas Instruments called BrilliantColour. This technology utilises a new colour processing algorithm and system level enhancements including secondary colours on the colour wheel to enable up to 50% higher picture brightness while providing more saturated, vibrant colours. This coupled with an all new UniShape lamp that modulates it's light output with millisecond precision to deliver deep inky blacks and radiant whites, while further improving colour saturation. The highest quality optics are used, ensuring every fine nuance of detail is delivered to the screen.
Two lens options are available for the HT-380; a shorter throw T1 lens (1.5-2.0:1 throw ratio) and longer throw T2 lens (2.0-3.0:1) option.
SIM2 HT-3000
SIM2 multimedia presents the latest addition to their award winning Grand Cinema HT range: The Grabd Cinema HT3000E. This premier single chip projector offers true, uncompressed 1920x1080 resolution, thanks to a new 0,95" 1080p DLP chipset from Texas Instruments. Combining this new chipset with full 10bit video processing, SIM2's ALPHAPATH light engine, 24fps support and Live Colour Management system, the HT-3000 is able to reach a new level of cinematic realism in single chip projection.
SIM2 HT-5000
SIM2 has been involved in making high defination projectors since the introduction of the original HDMAC format called EUREKA 95 in 1990. The latest and pre-eminent HDTV format 1080p offers the highest quality images but also places the grestest demands on a display device to deliver those images accurately.
A projector that can display all of the benefits of this high defination format has to be very accomplished indeed...introducing the Grand Cinema HT5000 from SIM2 - the ultimate in cinema projection.
Three-chip DLP is considered the pinnacle of digital projection and it is this technology that forms the basis of the HT-5000. This cinema 'statement' product uses the latest chipsets from Texas Instruments to create the last word in picture quality from HDTV sources. Three 0,95" DarkChip3 DMD's are utilized in this design to produce 1920x1080 and a superior contrast ratio of >5000:1, to produce crystal clear, uncompressed HDTV images. The finest quality optics are used throughout the HT-5000, these form an integral part of this precision display device and the results can clearly be seen on screen.
The list of high quality specifications continues: 10bit video processing, Dynamic noise reduction, Spatial noise reduction, all contribute to the truly outstanding picture performance from this flagship projector.
