Synchrony carries the traditional PSB virtues to new heights, with seven models developed together and tonally matched to unprecedented precision. In doing so Synchrony yields sonic performance that pushes the boundaries of the possible, whether judged by way of close technical analysis or by rigorous subjective evaluation.
Yet Synchrony delivers something more: a measure of visual elegance and luxurious finish unprecedented in such thoroughly engineered, advanced-performance loudspeakers. As a result, the seven elegant, small-footprint Synchrony models integrate quietly into today's most sophisticated listening rooms and home theaters.
The Synchrony Two B, a 5.25-inch two-way employs the Synchrony high-linearity titanium dome tweeter and dual laminate weave woofers. The Synchrony Two B is excellently suited for use with a high performance sub-woofer such as PSB's own ultra compact HD series, yet is fully capable of serious music reproduction on it's own. The Two B delivers useful output to a remarkable 50Hz. Though more compact and affordable than the tower Synchrony models, the "B" is astonishingly close in sound to it's larger floorstanding siblings.
"The Synchrony Two B impressed me as an unflapable performer with tonal qualities remarkably similar to the Synchrony One flagship. The surpurb construction quality, details and fittings are also identical. The amazing thing about this speaker is that except for the lack of deep bass, it sonically mirrors the Synchrony One flagship. PSB haven't paid a lot of lip service to the subject of timbre matching; they've achieved it." Neil Gader, The Absolute Sound, Dec '07.
PSB created the Synchrony family to be definitive music reproducers, both in stereo and multi-channel playback, which makes them dazzling home theatre performers as well. Consequently, the family includes a centre channel model engineered from the ground up to maximize it's performance in multi-channel systems. The Synchrony Two C is a two-way design using the same 5.25" drivers as the Synchrony Two Floorstanders in a dual-woofer, horizontal layout, voiced to achieve virtually perfect tonal matching.
The Synchrony S offers exceptionally high performance with a broad range of wiring and placement options. For example the Tri-mode Surround design allows for easy bipole or dipole wiring and placement. In addition, it offers the possibility of using one pair of surrounds for 6.1/7.1 systems by wiring the forward firing baffles for the side surround channels and the rear firing baffels for the rear centre surrounds.
"The Synchrony S surround speakers were equally adept...I heard nearly zero discontinuity from centre to fronts to surrounds, which approaches the finest performance I've encountered." Dan Kumin, Sound & Vision, Nov '07.
The Synchrony Two Tower is a full-range reproducer capable of delivering the most technically refined and demanding music and film recordings available with realism and tonal, spacial and dynamic accuracy. The Sychrony Two is similar in it's design to the Synchrony One Towers however it's narrower, smaller footprint is ideal for more intimate settings, with performance very nearly matching the Synchrony One.
"Actually you don't just begin playing the Synchrony Two T in the conventional sense. More accurately you ignite it! The starters flag flies and it roars toward the first turn and it doesn't look back." Neil Gader, The Absolute Sound, Dec '07.
The Synchrony One B, a 6..5-inch two-way, employs the Synchrony high linearity titanium-dome tweeter and dual laminate weave woofers. The Synchrony One B is excellently suited for use with a high-performance sub-woofer such as PSB's own ultra compact HD models, yet is fully capable of serious music reproduction on it's own. The One B delivers useful output to a remarkable 40Hz. Though more compact (and affordable) than the tower Synchrony models, the "B" is astonishingly close in sound (within their operating ranges) to it's larger floor standing siblings.
PSB created the Synchrony range to be definitive music reproducers, both in stereo and in multi-channel playback, which makes them dazzling home theatre performers as well. Consequently, the family includes a centre channel model engineered from the ground up to maximize it's perfromance in multi-channel systems. The Synchrony One C is a large 3 way design using the same drivers as the Synchrony One in a dual woofer, horizontal layout and delivering virtually identical timbral and dynamic response with impressive bass extension (40Hz) that encourages the "large" centre shannel setting that many designers prefer in serious listening multi-channel systems.
"The Synchrony One C centre speaker produced a perfect tonal match to the towers, with voices sounding identical in timbre to the same played monoaurally via the towers." Dan Kumin, Sound & Vision Nov '07
The Synchrony One Tower is a full-range reproducer capable of delivering th most technically refined and demanding music and film recordings available with unequalled realism and tonal, spatial and dynamic accuracy.
"According to my value system for loudspeakers - honest octive to octive balance, percise imaging, expansive spacial accuracy, freedom from dynamic compression, and absence of colouration - the PSB Synchrony One are among the best loudspeakers I've auditioned in my studio in several years. You could easily spend substantially more and do no better, or not as well. Sychrony was definitely worth the wait." Dan Kumin, Sound & Vision Nov'07.
